Luxemi’s Guide to Radiant Orchid — Pantone’s Color of the Year

Radiant Orchid mood board

Every year has a color hierarchy that cannot be ignored, especially in fashiondom. While Emerald Green ruled color charts (and wardrobes) last year, 2014 belongs to Radiant Orchid (after all, Pantone says so). Considering that we are lovers of all things feminine chic, we couldn’t be happier about this refreshing pick. And we bet that the quintessential Luxemi girl (just like us) is already busy making some closet space for this year’s crowned color!

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, was quoted saying, “An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.”

  • Clutches in this color promise to uplift a look while jewelry with a touch of amethyst is a good way to go too.
  • And the color need not be restricted to your outfit alone. Make up in Radiant Orchid and its accompanying shades is just as impact making.
